Health Screenings

Regular screenings help you monitor your health status and learn what you can do to improve your quality of life. The Grundy County Health Department offers a variety of health screenings:

• Cholesterol (monthly, by appointment)
• Blood sugar (daily, walk-in)
• Hemoglobin A1C (monthly, by appointment)
• Blood pressure (daily, walk-in)
• Weight (daily, walk-in)

We charge for testing supplies only, see our current fee schedule.

We celebrate Public Health Month each April by offering a lipid profile and complete metabolic panel.

Worksite Wellness

Healthy employees are more productive. The Grundy County Health Department can provide worksite wellness services such as health education programs, onsite immunizations, tuberculosis testing, and health screenings. Programs are free; other services are available at our cost with no administration fees.

TB testing

GCHD performs TB (tuberculosis) testing for communicable disease control and employment. Testing is available on a walk-in basis Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

Adult Immunizations

Adults need immunizations too! Grownups need a tetanus booster every ten years and a flu shot annually. We offer other adult vaccinations: Hepatitis A and B, Shingles, Pneumonia, and HPV. GCHD charges for the cost of the vaccine only.
